The faculty of Organic Agriculture team at Heliopolis University organized & executed the first workshop within the framework for SUS SOIL Project.
The workshop took place at Sekem Farm in Sharkia Governorate in Egypt, with the attendance of diverse project stakeholders; including farmers, land managers and representatives from governmental and academic organizations.

A brief about the project, its funding entity, monitoring & sampling parameters
SUS-SOIL platform structure & role of involved stakeholders
Collecting info. From attendees about soil management challenges and proposed solutions
Site visit to one of Sekem farm agricultural lands and real-life sampling practices training
The attending stakeholders made the workshop a success and expressed their appreciation for the information shared as well as their excitement to be part of such an impactful project.
About the project:
SUS-SOIL is a 4-year Horizon Europe funded project that adopts a multidisciplinary approach, focused on the development of 15 Subsoil Living Labs that act as an open innovation ecosystem of collaboration in real-life environments to co-create, test, and validate new solutions for sustainable soil and subsoil health promotion.
