[:en]   Beit El Hekma at the Space of Culture, as usual, introduces one of the Arabic masterpieces. This time it is “The Journey of Ibn Fatuma” by Naguib Mahfouz. It tells the story of Kandil who is seeking truth, justice, and Gaballand to help his country when he returns home. He starts traveling through different countries, political systems, lifestyles, and beliefs. He experiences hard times during this journey as he loses his wife and children and spends 20 years in prison. The story of Ibn Fatuma is the story of a truth and peace seeker through which Naguib Mahfouz gives us an insight into the deep inner world of the human soul. “What is the truth?” is the question that Mahfouz tries to explore through Kandil’s journey. It is an eternal question that actors have discussed after the play with the audience. The play is adapted by Mohamed Mamdouh. The cast (in alphabetic order): Abdalla Ashraf Abdelrahman Ibrahim Abdelrahman Mohammed Ahmed Emara Ali Mohamed Elbauomy Amin Shopaky Esraa Magdy Esraa Magdy Hamada Shousha Hussam Abdelazeez Moamen Ghanem Mohamed Saduun Nancy Elhadedy Tamer Elgazzar Music Ashraf Saleh Felix Auth Nasr Hussein Stage Manager: Abdelrahman Mohamed Light: Tamer Elgazzar and Mohamed Mahmud Technical Support: Ramy Ahmed Direction by the Team of Speech, Poetry & Acting/Core Program[:ar]   وكما عودنا دائماً يقدم بيت الحكمة بساحة الثقافة واحدة من روائع الأدب العربي “رحلة ابن فطومة” للأديب العالمي نجيب محفوظ. تحكي المسرحية عن قنديل الباحث عن الحقيقة والعدالة وأرض الجبل التي ستمكنه من مساعدة وطنه وأهله للخروج مما هم فيه من خلاف وتفكك ورجعية. يسافر قنديل عبر عديد من البلاد والأنظمة السياسية والأنماط الحياتية والمعتقدات كذلك. كما يمر بأوقات صعبة خلال رحلته هذه حيث يفقد زوجته وأطفاله ويقضي حوالي عشرين عاماً في السجن. رواية ابن فطومة هي رحلة باحث. يُطلع فيها نجيب محفوظ قارئه على الكثير من خبايا هذه الرحلة. ويغرس في وجداننا مفاهيماً أساسيةً دون تسميتها. فقد كان عبقرياً في وصف النظم السياسية دون الافصاح عن أسمائها. “ما هي الحقيقة؟” هو السؤال الأبدي الذي حاول محفوظ الكشف عن أغواره من خلال رحلة قنديل. وهو نفس السؤال الذي ناقشه أبطال العمل مع الجمهور بعد المسرحية. الرواية من معالجة محمد ممدوح. أبطال العمل بالترتيب الأبجدي عبد الله أشرف عبد الرحمن إبراهيم عبد الرحمن محمد أحمد عمارة علي محمد البيومي أمين شوبكي إسراء مجدي إسراء مجدي حمادة شوشة حسام عبد العزيز مؤمن غانم محمد سعدون نانسي الحديدي تامر الجزار موسيقى أشرف صالح فيليكس اوث [:]

[:en] On the stage of Hoda Shaarawy Theater, the audience could listen attentively to six women from different time eras telling their stories of how they survived their patriarchal societies. “Scream” is a play where fiction and reality overlapped to show how women suffered in different ways through history.   “Scream” is adapted and partly written by the Director and Playwright Effat Yehia. The main roles were played by Hamada Shousha, Nourhan Elnaggar, Heba Abdel Razek, Sofia Rasmy, Walaa Ahmed, and Nancy Elhadidy.   [:ar] على مسرح هدى شعراوي ، استمع الجمهور إلى ست نساء من عصور مختلفة تروين قصص نجاتهن من سيطرة مجتمعاتهن الذكورية المتعنتة. “الصرخة” مسرحية اختل فيها الواقع مع الخيال ليرسم لنا لوحات مختلفة لمعاناة المرأة عبر العصور المختلفة. المسرحية من معالجة واخراج المخرجة والكاتبة المسرحية عفت يحيى. شارك في التمثيل حمادة شوشة و صوفيا رسمي ونورهان النجار وهبة عبد الرازق وولاء أحمد ونانسي الحديدي.      [:]
