[:en] Dr. Mohamed Yousry, President of Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development, said that: Heliopolis University serves the community differently, studying the needs of the surrounding villages by surveying, investigating, and knowing the problems people face in these villages accurately. The President of Heliopolis University declared, During his speech to October magazine, through the studies carried out by the university, we found that the significant problems of the surrounding villages are education, agriculture, health, and finding job opportunities for youth. Yousry added, “We have contributed to solving these problems, as we have the distinguished specializations at the university to solve crises scientifically and practically.” Yousry counted: for example, the faculty of Engineering has a rare specialization in water engineering. It aims to educate an irrigation engineer who understands the importance of water and is aware of the conflicts around it over water, whether the Nile River or other countries.” The President of Heliopolis University stated that since the university’s establishment in 2012, water specialization has contributed to serving the neighboring villages. Written by: Amina Yassin[:ar] قال دكتور محمد يسرى، رئيس جامعة هليوبوليس للتنمية المستدامة، خلال حديثه لمجلة أكتوبر أن جامعة هليوبوليس تخدم المجتمع بصورة مختلفة فتدرس الاحتياجات للقرى المحيطة باستقصاء واحصاء ومعرفة المشاكل التى تواجهه الناس في هذه القرى بدقة. وقال رئيس جامعة هليوبوليس، من خلال الدراسات التى قامت بيها الجامعة وجدنا أن المشاكل الأساسية للقرى المحيطة هى التعليم والزراعة والصحة وايجاد فرص عمل للشباب. وأضاف يسرى، ساهمنا في حل هذه المشاكل فنحن نملك التخصصات المميزة بالجامعة لحل الأزمات بطريقة علمية وعملية، فمثلًا كلية هندسة بها تخصص نادر هو هندسة المياه، ويهدف إلى تربية مهندس رى يفهم أهمية المياه ويعى ما يدور حوله من صراعات حول المياه سواء نهر النيل أو دول حوض النيل وهذا التخصص منذ انشاء الجامعة عامة 2012، يساهم في خدمة القرى المجاورة. وأوضح رئيس جامعة هليوبوليس للتنمية المستدامة، إنه من بين التخصصات المميزة الآخرى بكلية هندسة تخصص الكهرباء فيدرس الطلاب من خلاله تطبيق الطاقة البديلة مثل الطاقة الشمسية، وهو ما تتميز فيه الجامعة خصوصًا بعد أن أصبحت جميع المبانى بها مضاءة بالطاقة الشمسية بنسبة 100%. كتبت: أمينة ياسين [:]
