[:en]Heliopolis University signs a Cooperation Protocol with Maribor University[:ar]جامعة هليوبوليس توقع برتوكول تعاون مع “ماريبور” السلوفينية[:]

[:en]Dr. Mohamed Yousri Hashem, President of Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development, witnessed the signing ceremony of the protocol of cooperation between the university’s Faculties of Engineering and Business Administration and University of Maribor’s College of Logistics, Slovenia.

Dr. Hashem said that Heliopolis University attaches great importance to partnerships between Egyptian and foreign educational sectors as it provides students with the skills and practical knowledge required for the job market before graduation.

Dr. Rasha Al Khouli, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Omar Ramzi, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics, signed by the University of Heliopolis, and by the University of Maribor, Dr. Bugan Rossi, Dean of the College of Logistics, which is one of the leading colleges in the logistics management, supply chain, industry and production support, and information systems.

شهد الدكتور يسرى هاشم، رئيس جامعة هليوبوليس للتنمية المستدامة، إحتفالية توقيع برتوكول التعاون المشترك بين جامعة هليوبوليس المتمثلة فى كلية الهندسة وكلية إدارة الأعمال، وبين كلية جامعة ماريبور بسلوفينيا المتمثلة فى كلية اللوجيستيات.

وأكد الدكتور يسرى هاشم خلال التوقيع، كما جاء فى بيان الجامعة اليوم الخميس، أن الجامعة تولي اهتماما كبيرا بالشراكات والتعاون ما بين القطاع التعليمى المصرى والأجنبى، لما له من أهمية كبيرة في تسليح الطالب بالمهارات والمعرفة العملية اللازمة لتهيئته لسوق العمل قبل التخرج.

وقامت الدكتورة رشا الخولى، عميد كلية الهندسة، والدكتور عمر رمزى، عميد كلية إدارة الأعمال والإقتصاد، بالتوقيع من جانب جامعة هليوبوليس، ومن جانب جامعة ماريبور وقع الدكتور بوجان روسى عميد كلية اللوجيستيات، والتى تعد من الكليات الرائدة فى مجال إدارة اللوجيستيات وسلاسل الإمداد والتجارة والنقل الدولى ودعم الصناعة والإنتاج ونظم المعلومات.

Showcasing the Med-Wet Project: Partners Participated in the Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Marketplace in Cairo

[:en] One of the Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development’s successful research projects called “MED-WET” is selected among the top successful and highest performing 20 EU–Prima projects worldwide this year 2024. An international conference and fair was conducted on 3 Oct., 2024 in Cairo organized by Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) in association with the European Commission (EC) office in Cairo. In which, a team from HUSD and MED-WET’s partner countries from Malta and Germany presented the key results of the MED-WET project, including the successfully developed three technologies (Constructed Wetlands in Sekem El-Wahat, Solar energy-driven desalination for greenhouse agriculture in Malta and the SLECI Irrigation technology in Portugal and Morocco). That mega event allowed HUSD to showcase the innovative solution of the low-cost, low-energy and nature-based “Instream Constructed Wetland” model addressing water challenges and climate change in the Mediterranean. Such innovations aim to conserve water, improve irrigation efficiency and tackle water scarcity (climate-resilient agriculture). The marketplace offered meaningful exchanges with international partners. HUSD’s team discussed potential collaborations with stakeholders who are interested in new research projects, which will help further amplify the impact of the Med-Wet project. The conversations done with promising future partners underscored the importance of cross-border cooperation and innovation in addressing complex environmental challenges, on the top of them “water scarcity and climate change”. [:en]The National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education honored the President of Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Yousry Hashem, the University President, in the celebration organized by the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation.
